MG Book Bloggers

The following are blog sites that promote middle-grade books and their authors through book reviews, author interviews, guest blogs, announcements, advertising, lists, etc. Many do not review e-books; some don't feature reviews at all; some restrict coverage to traditionally published books.

This list is growing and I welcome suggestions for additions. Blog sites must have a significant, measurable following, provide reviews of substance, and actively promote MG books and their authors, as exemplified by the sites listed below. You can contact me at maggielyons66 at gmail dot com.

Abbreviations: MGR = middle-grade book reviews; E-Bks. = accepts e-books for review; GPs = guest posts; Int. = interviews; Give. = giveaways; Lists = lists of books; Ann. = announcements (summary of book, excerpt, author bio); Ads. = paid advertising; NF = reviews nonfiction; (F) = fantasy only; (R) = guest book reviews; (I) = indies only; TR = teacher's resources; literary agent interviews = LAI

  4. Random checks essentially all say they have plenty of books to review so don't bother them. Yes, they say it nicely, but your chance of getting a timely review from official review sites is pretty much zero.

  7. Middle grade action-adventures @ mystery fiction are primarily what I write. Kids say reading one is like being in an exciting movie. Ten books are published and I have contracts for 13 more. In my case, middle grade is alive, well, and getting stronger.
